FAQs: What it’s Like Working with Lake One

What is the onboarding process like?

Once you have agreed to work with our team, we’ll kick off our discovery process. Our discovery process is lead by your primary point of contact, your client delivery partner. The discovery process takes roughly 4 – 6 weeks and consists of extremely thorough research which serves as the driving force for the creation of our FieldGuide, our digital marketing plan. Our process is collaborative and we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

Enough about us. Let’s talk about you! Hit us up for a consulation.

Once we’ve shared the FieldGuide with you and agreed on the path forward, let the Goal Setting and Sales and Marketing SLA work begin! Learn more about our SLA here.

Additionally, we’ll also invite you into our program management environment and solidify your marketing tech stack. This is we what we call Modern Marketing.

Who will I be working with?

At Lake One, our client delivery team (CDT) is your primary point of contact for managing programs and keeping trains running. Prior to starting our discovery process, you’ll get an email introduction to your main point of contact from our CDT.

What if something comes up and I need to make a request?

We get it, as much as we want to plan every detail, things come up. Logos need changing, edits to copy need to happen, and events fall into the calendar last minute. To keep communication open and transparent, we ask that you communicate primarily through your project portal which you will be invited into during onboarding.

Are our programs locked in? What if I need to adjust from month to month?

We scope out a program plan of monthly work in order to build the consistency that we know is so critical to your digital marketing and sales success. But things come up. And a critical part of our success is being adaptable to our clients’ needs as well as the insights we’re gaining from our programs. That said, we also need to be cognizant of our SLA. We’ll accommodate change requests as best we can, but if they’re above or beyond the scope of our agreement, we’ll ask that we process a change order. [In addition to our flexibility, here are some other reasons why you should consider working with Lake One.]

FAQs: What to Expect from my Sales and Marketing Program

Are results guaranteed?

We wish we could guarantee results. But the reality is there is some learning that takes place in making a truly successful digital marketing and sales program. All marketing carries some level of risk, so if that’s not an investment you’re able to make, we understand. If we ever find a guaranteed winning formula for every industry, every market size, everywhere – you’ll be able to find us relaxing on the beach on the private island we bought. 🙂

How long will it take to work?

This goes hand in hand with the guarantee. While we wish we had a crystal ball, we can’t guarantee an outcome by a certain date. However, we can say marketing is an investment and a long term strategy. Most clients see progress in as little as 6 months, but we often encourage clients to give programs 12 – 18 months to get going.

How will we know if it’s working?

So if we aren’t the amazing Kreskin, how do we know if it’s working? By measuring. Along the way, we’ll be looking at key performance indicators (that we’ll work with you to set) to know if we’re making progress on our goals and what adjustments we need to continue progressing. If you don’t know this by now, you will: we are big fans of SMART goals and measuring against them!
